Ann Curry
Ann Curry is an American photographer and journalist who has been a reporter for over 45 years focusing on the human suffering in war zones and natural disasters. Curry was a journalist in war-zones such as Kosovo Iraq Syria Lebanon Palestine Afghanistan Darfur Congo. Ann Curry (born on November 19th, 1956 in the city of the city of Agana) was an American television reporter, anchor and journalist. Curry was best known as a correspondent on The Today Show, a daily morning news show broadcast by National Broadcasting Co. Curry is known for reporting humanitarian crises and natural disasters particularly in nations affected by conflict. Curry has a father who was an U.S. Navy sailor and an Japanese woman. Curry met her mother when she was living alongside the father of her parents in Japan after World War II. They were frequently on the move because of her dad's military service. Curry completed high school within Ashland Oregon. She graduated with a journalism diploma in 1978 from The University of Oregon in 1978. In her youth, she was exposed to diverse cultures. Curry attended various schools like San Diego Alameda Oregon Virginia as well as Virginia. She finally graduated from Ashland High School. While working as an intern for KTVL Channel 10 Medford, Oregan, she began her journey in broadcasting. She became the first woman journalist for the station when she was just 22. In Portland in Oregon, she was appointed anchor and reporter by KGW which is NBC's subsidiary. After four years, she relocating into Los Angeles as a reporter for KCBS-TV. She was awarded 2 Emmy Awards during the six years with the station.
